his light show at the Bayou.)
When you enter After Midnight (from the rear) you will first come to the restaurant which is fashioned after a sidewalk cafe. The menu includes omlettes, salads, hamburgers, and ice cream specialties. A little farther in is the juice bar area (no alcohol is served) with its carpeted pyramids for lounging. ("Very comfortable and cruisy," according to Lee.)
Next comes the dance floor and disco booth. The plans call for a dance floor enclosed in plexiglass. This will enable full disco volume on the dance floor, but. a considerable decrease in the decibel level for those who want to relax and talk or eat. The associated light show will be "ultra modern" says Huether.
Beyond the dance floor is another lounging area and a game area.
Located at 2265 Ontario on the corner of Huron, there is plenty of free parking.
After Midnight will operate as a private club. (Check with the management about membership cards.) They will probably be operating with a $1 cover charge also.
This issue of High Gear also ushers in the premiere of the Breakfast Shows at the Zanzibar on weekends.
TOLEDO REMODELS
Anyone planning to cut a large hole in either their ceiling or floor should check with the Toledo Club Baths to see how it is done. They are changing their first floor lounge area into a mall with a new "grand winding" staircase going from the old lounge area to the second floor.
There will also be a new look to the private rooms. The rejuvenation includes new paint and carpeting.
On the Toledo bar scene The Sarah Club has closed and the Camel Lot Complex Number One is scheduled to reopen at a new address on Christmas Eve. Check their ad in this issue of High Gear for the exact address. It is located in a hotel and there are 41 rooms available.
On the literary side of Toledo a new publication is slated for January. The new magazine, according to Tom Jamison, editor and owner of Zipper Bookstore, will sell for a dollar or less, will be directed specifically toward Toledo, and
will be unlike any publication available.

BAYOU GETS NEW MANAGER
During this past week George Phillips (no relation to Matt Phillips of the High Gear staff) became the latest manager of the Bayou Landing Cleveland. He has been the manager of The Attic in Philadelphia, owned his own business, and most recently, held the position of administrator to the National Committee for Sexual Civil Liberty. "This is a group of about 27 people," says Phillips, "involved in sexual liberties, mainly gays. It is responsible for the repeal of sodomy laws in 12 of the 14 states where they have ime manalo4"
